Sandra Montenegro is the founder and president of m+public relations; she has a long experience in the management of accounts for the U.S. general and Hispanic markets.

Before founding the company, Sandra worked as a Senior Account Executive at Pantín/Beber Silverstein Public Relations, in Miami, one of the leading public relations agencies in Florida. There she worked with a variety of clients from various industries, such as:

The public relations management of arteaméricas for the U.S. general and Hispanic market, the premier Latin American art fair in the world; support to American Airlines corporate communications office for Latin America and the Caribbean, whom Sandra assisted in various projects, including the crisis management during an airplane accident as well as the development of the airline's communications materials.

She successfully launched the first US store of the renowned leather goods designer Mario Hernández. She managed the public relations for the Mexican hotel chain Palace Resorts, where Sandra was in charge of the opening of the first golf course designed by the golf legend, Jack Nicklaus, at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun. As well as effectively handled the public relations in the Hispanic market for Telemundo´s first reality program, "Protagonistas de Telenovela."

Before joining Pantín/Beber Silverstein, Montenegro worked with Burson-Marsteller in the Brand Communications practice for Latin America, where she assisted dot.com clients in the positioning of their brands in the U.S. Hispanic market and Latin America.

Sandra also worked with The Pearson Group serving travel and tourism clients. Among them, the launch of The White Witch golf course at the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Prior to this position, she worked as project director for the Taiwan Trade Center Miami, where she counseled and recruited big corporations in the investment, partnerships or manufacture of their products in Taiwan.

Sandra holds a M.A. degree in Public Relations from the University of Miami. She also participated in the Boston University Graduate Summer Program in London, where she interned with Burson-Marsteller's government relations division in the United Kingdom.

Sandra holds a B.A. degree in International Relations and Latin American Studies from the University of Miami; she also completed French summer programs at the Université de Lausanne in Switzerland and at the American French Institute in France. In addition, she was an exchange student at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile for one semester.

Sandra contributes travel articles to Miami's El Nuevo Herald, the largest Spanish language daily in the U.S.

She is the public relations director for the foundation Libros sin Fronteras, which promotes education among underprivileged children by building libraries in their communities.

Sandra is fluent in Spanish, English, and French. She is conversant in Portuguese.
